I'm pleased to announce the publication of the first of our new Poor Law Records volumes, Jedburgh (1852-1874) on CD.

This volume comprises:
Index to the Poor Law Records
Images of the Poor Law Records
History of Jedburgh (illustrated)
History of the Poor Law
17 Jedburgh Poor Law Cases in 1844
Map and Bibliography
Jedburgh Poorhouse Accounts 1885
Forename and Surname Index
List of Borders Inspectors of the Poor
Duties of Inspectors of the Poor

Each of the two Jedburgh volumes contains the same 60 plus pages of historical text and the maps; the bit thatís different in each volume is the index to the Poor Law Records, and the images of the records themselves.

As we learn more about the Poor Law and the way it worked, I expect that the historical text will be revised.

This volume covers more than 1000 named people, though a few people may appear more than once.

Jedburgh (1852-1874) CD
Price £12 plus 47p postage (UK), £1.21 (Europe), £1.68 (World).

Set of 2 - Jedburgh (1852-1874) and Jedburgh (1875-1893)
Price £22 plus 94p postage (UK), £1.57 (Europe), £2.44 (World)

Both available from Ronald Morrison, Whitberry, Todlaw Road, Duns, TD11 3EW, Scotland.
