Posted - 28 July 2012 : 10:28:53 Hello I am currently researching the Dickson line of my family. I know that Adam Dickson (1800-1882) was born in Drumelzier and followed his brother (John or Walter?) to the Shetland Islands before 1831 when he married Bessie Brown. He farmed at Vementry, Uyeasound until he passed the lease over to his son Adam Dickson. His father was John Dickson (1770-??) and mother Janet Jardine (1775-??). They had 7 children the first 6 of whom were born in Drumelzier between 1803 and 1815. I am wondering if these are apart of a Dickson family that you have researched? I am keen to know a bit more than names and dates.
