looking for info re: hastie estate that was 10 miles south of Dalkeith and 8 miles north of Stow in 1820's. John Kelly was the steward.

Can you tell us the parish and maybe some of the nearby farms?.

Your description might suggest somehwere around Heriot or Middelton on the A7 or Pathhead or Fala
on the A69
or anywhere between these points.


What time frame are you looking at. The National Library of Scotland
has some fabulous online maps back to 1700's
