Hi all
Does anyone know when Prince Edward visited the Selkirk common riding. I have just received a photo of him at the common riding and my gg grandfather is on the same picture as the Junior Burgh officer, i know my gg grandfather retired from the job in 1927 so it was obviously before that but i cant find any info about it on line.
Any help appreciated.

I think the visit to the Borders by Prince Edward took place in the Early 1920's I have seen various photos in the area at that time.

worth checking records/newspapers at Hub
