Brian,
I think people dying in Blainslie would probably be buried in Lauder, as it's the nearest; however Earlston is very close, too, and depending on which part of Blainslie, Melrose or Galashiels might be chosen instead.

Hello Forum-Master.
I have no knowledge of requesting a search for burial grounds or church yards. I have recently asked Mary if she could tell me what parish, Blainslie would come under during the period 1700 to mid 1800s,thats all.

I would be really interested in any research done on Burials in the town of Duns; the male line of my family were originally from Duns.
