Posted - 04 January 2012 : 11:56:21 Good Idea Karen. My Uncles took many family pictures to Canada but happily my Gran (who was Dutch) had noted who each person was. I've now traced all my Dutch relatives using scanned copies sent to me. The lesson is - always note what you know on the back of the photos - names,dates and places, and store them carefully for future generations.

yes, it would be an interesting addition to our website but we haven't done anything about it yet. We have some lovely photos in our archive at Old Gala House but unfortunately, don't have the names of the people in them and it might be useful to make them available for viewing.
