Posted - 28 December 2012 : 14:27:49 My great great grandfather built this in 1870 with John Gray and then dissolved the partnership in 1892 when he becames Burgher Chamberlain. Can anyone tell me where it was built, and if any pictures survive?

Posted - 01 February 2013 : 14:31:19 The Dye Works was just at the corner of the Junction for Plumtreehall Brae between up the Buckholmside of Gala near Magdala Terrace and Haliburtion Place junction, it been away for years - it does appear on the old maps ( saw lately on the 1932 map it noted as Gala Dye Work - try getting in touch the Old Gala club they may have photos
