I am researching the White/Whytes of Haddington, part of my family tree, and wonder if anyone has any interest in them. This concerns Elizabeth/Betty White born in 1756 whose parents were Peter/Patrick Whyte and Margaret Kemp.

Thank you - I haven't found a connection with this White branch so far but will have another look.

I have a John White born about 1811 in Haddington, according to census information only. I have no evidence of his birth, death or parentage. He was a ship's carpenter and married Mary Adams in S. Leith in 1833. Childrens' names were John, Christina, Peter, Adam and Mary.

Possibly a connection?
