Help please with Mitchell & Dickey & Veitch in Hawick
Helen or Nellie MITCHELL died 23 Nov 1928 at 4 Melgund Place, Hawick
her husband was William DICKEY, an Army Supply Corps. Corporal when the married 27 March 1909. he was based at Stobs Castle.

1911 census he is still a corporal living at 6 Dickson Street, Hawick. William remarried at Euphamia McNAUGHT or JOHNSON. He died
28 May 1960 at 21 Renwick Terrace, Hawick. 1911Census he was born Ireland.
His parents William John DICKEY a Yarn Dresser and Sarah Agnes GLOVER both alive 1909.

Helen or Ellen or Nellie's father and Mother James and Agnes Veitch were living at 4 Dickson Street, Hawick. They were married 1898, on the Twentysixth day of August at 35 Eastgate, Peebles.

Agnes MITCHELL ms VEITCH died 28 Sept 1928 at 4 Melgund Place, Hawick
her husband James remarried a Katie RAE or ELLIOT. He died 4 Sept 1956
at the Cottage hospital, U/r 20 Allars Crescent, Hawick.

Where were these people buried, and any other information regarding MI's or layer content or anything else relating to the above families and children greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all for your replies.

I have tried the council on other burials and
found that when they eventually answer the wait was worth while.

don't know much about the families you are searching for but going by the addresses would suggest most would be buried in the Wellogate Cemetery and possible the one's at dickson street in Wilton cemetery but no guaranteed if they had a family plot and in the 20th C you could choose which cemetery

did you know that a Norman Dickey was Cornet in 1961

And Dickey's lived in the Weensland area (nr renwick terrace) for a long time

also Veitch's are mention in the book by George Tansed "rulewater and its people"
