I am researching ancestors who are listed in various records as "Innkeepers at Darnick", near Melrose. William Rutherford had previously been Innkeeper at the Cross Keys in Ancrum. Following his death in 1862, his widow, Margaret (Maggie) Rutherford, is Innkeeper until her death in 1889. Can anyone help to pinpoint where in Darnick the Inn may have been located?
