I am trying to obtain information regarding Peter Scott b. 1695 and his nephew William Scott - with little success.

However I do have William's address in the late 1780s as "Crow Hill, Roxborough-shire, North Brittain".

My question - can anybody tell me where Crowhill is or was. Using the Internet I have found brief comments about a Scott of Burnhead and Crowhill, Roxburghshire - but where is Burnhead? Google maps locates Burnhead as a"single dwelling" just south of Hassendean which ties in with the Scotts of Hassendean.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

Burnhead is just north/east of the Burnfoot in Hawick heading for the Hassendean area.

My mum thinks CrowHill is also in that area, the name rings a bell.

Hope this helps
