Hi, I am looking for the birth parents of Robert Riddell. On the Census records i show him as being born about 1813 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland and died Nov 21 1877 in Ashkirk , Selkirk. He married Mary Armstrong in abt 1833/1834. I can't find a marriage record for them, but their 1st child was born about 1834 in Maxton, Roxburghshire. Any help would greatly appreciated! THEY ARE BURIED AT ASHKIRK ON CD FROM SELKIRK ANTIQUARIANS In memory of ROBERT RIDDELL who died at North Sinton 21st November 1877 aged 64yrs also MARY ARMSTRONG his wife who died at Helmburn 7th August 1901 in her 91st year also MARGARET RIDDELL his daughter who died 27th May 1886 aged 9 weeks also ROBERT RIDDELL his son who died 5th February 1866 aged 28yrs also JESSIE RIDDELL his daughter who died 14th March 1866 aged 14yrs also their son WILLIAM RIDDELL who died at Mount Melville ,St Andrews 3rd June 1866 aged 31yrs and was buried here.
