Hi,

First post and was wondering if anyone could help me with some information on a David Cockburn 1878-1917 from Galashiels. He was a great Uncle of mine who I only recently found out died in Egypt in the great war after a medal was handed down to me. His parents were David and euphemia Cockburn ,he married a Christine little and they had a son David in 1913. Have carried out a lot of research on David, but if anyone has any information that could be of help I would be very grateful, adresses were Stirling st and St Andrews st Galashiels.

Many thanks

There is a Private David Cockburn of the War Memorial at Galashiels Town Hall - who served with the 5th KOSB.

None of the family mention show up in Eastland or St Peters Graveyards, may be in Heatheryet or Ladhope
