|The 24th Annual Conference of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies was hosted by us, and was held within the Scottish Borders Campus (and Heriot-Watt University), Nether Road,
Galashiels, TD1 3HE, Scotland from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 11th May, 2013.
The theme for the conference was "Comings and Goings, Migration and Scotland".
There is wheelchair access to the building and a toilet for people with disabilities.
It was easy to get to (many used the Traveline gadget) and there was parking next to the campus and in the surrounding streets.
Coming into Galashiels follow signs to Town Centre, then Heriot-Watt Uni, Heriot-Watt University, or University. Don't follow signs to the bus station.

The delegate fee was £15.
This included all talks but excluded lunch and refreshments apart from the initial tea and coffee.

Interested in family history?
Many people came to meet the experts from Family History Societies, Scotlandís People, various Archives and many other organisations.
10am to 4.30pm.
Admission was free.
The Campus cafe provided refreshments and snacks throughout the day, all reasonably priced.
A raffle was held on the day and winners, who have not collected their prizes, will be contacted.
There were 2 prize quizzes.
